  35. OneNote voice recording 2013-05-03

I had a problem similar to yours in which my audio recordings in OneNote 2010 were of appropriate length, but nothing was recorded. It was funny because when I did a video recording with OneNote 2010 or an audio recording with Windows Sound Recorder, I hear my voice and everything was smooth. I played around and found the solution. I had to choose the Windows Media 10 Audio Professional codec, and choose ANY format that was stereo. It just didn't work with any that was mono. I believe it is an incompatilbiity issue with my microphone. Hope this helps! source:

  37. Jason Fried, David Hansson: Rework 2011-06-23

A small book about slightly different approach in reaching your customers with your software product. Few good ideas, few controversial - or better to say - likely to misunderstood ideas. I was done with it in 3 hours, was worth it. Quote: "Start making something" :) amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Rework-Jason-Fried/dp/0307463745http://www.amazon.com/Rework-Jason-Fried/dp/0307463745

  39. Timothy Taylor: Legacies of Great Economists 2011-01-19

Very captivating audiobook, a brief history of how the world economy evolved from gold exchange until most recent state. Follows the life of great economists and their attempts to solve big economical problems of their time. audiobook source: http://www.teach12.com/tgc/courses/course_detail.aspx?cid=528http://www.teach12.com/tgc/courses/course_detail.aspx?cid=528

  40. Disabling error beeps (caused by fan check) in Synology NAS 2010-09-23
  41. J.R.R. Tolkien: The Silmarillion 2010-07-14

Loved this one... must read when you finish the core story of Lord of the Rings ;) wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silmarillionhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silmarillion

  42. J.R.R. Tolkien: The Children of Húrin 2010-07-14

Like the other "unfinished" stories from Tolkien, this one suffers from un-connectedness and inconsistencies between story lines. However since the story itself is marvelous and really a masterpiece (like Silmarillion), this can be forgiven. It's not THAT disrupting to ruin your good feeling from this book. Most highly recommended. 5/5, 100/100. wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Children_of_Hurinhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Children_of_Hurin

  43. Joseph Conrad: Heart of Darkness 2010-07-14

Very dark, difficult to understand with my poor English skills :) Otherwise, I liked it very much. Quote: "We live, as we dream-alone" wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_of_Darknesshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_of_Darkness

  44. Hesse Herman - Siddhartha 2009-04-20

Story of a man. Through early adulthood until almost death. Circle of life reflected on father to son relationship. Circle of desire, passion and love, circle that is inside every human being throughout life. One of the most moving books I ever read (if not 'A' most moving book). This is really a must have. At the time I finished reading it, I had a feeling I have to read it through again soon. I never had that feeling before. wiki> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siddhartha_(novel)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siddhartha_(novel)

  45. Isaac Asimov: Fundation 2008-07-30

First part of original Fundation trilogy by Isaac Asimov. This book introduces you to events in gallop speed. It's not a bad thing though. You can see a lot of politics and intrigues between leaders of nations. Very interesting dialogs, but since people are shining and dying very quickly, you don't have single "hero" that you can follow throughout the book. Maybe if book was a little bit longer, it could dig into events and situations more deeply. Now it's just a fly-by and I can't help myself to feel a little disappointed. wiki> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Foundation_Serieshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Foundation_Series

  46. Jane Hamilton: A Map of the World 2008-03-12

This book took me a while to read, but it was definitely worth it. Despite of fact that it has almost 400 pages, I had a feeling all the time that I don't need to rush it to the end. It seemed to me as there was something to learn from and to achieve at every page. In fact, the ending wasn't very spectacular or surprising at all. This book will guide you through story of few regular people and if you commit enough attention to every page, at the end you will feel as you experienced the story yourself. Recommended. wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Map_of_the_Worldhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Map_of_the_World

  47. Joseph Conrad: Secret Sharer 2008-01-24

Not very long, deeply personal novel by Joseph Conrad, chap originaly from Poland. It's about man that was put in charge as captain of sailboat. Nothing really noticable happens on the deck of that sailboat, but you wouldn't believe what is happening under deck.. web: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_Sharerhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_Sharer

  48. Jiri Grygar: Vesmir jaky je [CZ] 2008-01-24

Book about cosmology from one of the best czech popularizator of science. Book was published at 1997, but I read it in year 2005, so it's not so deprecated. More important is that it is well written and author is capable to explain very difficult topics in very simple words. Through reading this book I evoked my great interest and passion for this area and books about modern physics that I read started to grow since this one. http://www.astro.cz/~grygar/knihy.htmhttp://www.astro.cz/~grygar/knihy.htm

  49. Brian Greene: The Fabric of the Cosmos 2008-01-24

That's what I'm reading right now, so in about 1 month I will have more to say, but now it looks like it's the best book about physics I've ever read. web: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fabric_of_the_Cosmoshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fabric_of_the_Cosmos
