I listened to the audio-book version of this book for a very long time. Story itself was not that super exciting as the original Dune series, as I expected, thou it was quite entertaining and catchy. What made this book interesting was narrator - Scott Brick. His voice is clear and crisp and I could feel his emotions throughout the development of the story. There was strong character development in the story, however I was not convinced to continue and acquire another part of this whole "Butlerian Jihad" series. For me, the original 6 Dune books is the jewel of sci-fi literature, they really moved my in some way. To be honest, all the work of Frank Herbert's son is kind of optional reading. His work is entertaining, but it simply doesn't go to such a depth. Time to move on. wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Butlerian_Jihadhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Butlerian_Jihad
